Anna has more than 20 years of leadership experience in the nonprofit sector. She is known for bringing people together around a shared vision and finding innovative ways to move that vision forward.
As Alongside’s executive director, Anna focuses on building a strong organization so staff and programs can do their best work. Under her leadership, Alongside has developed a shared vision, mission, and values as well as a strategic plan to guide its priorities and impact. By aligning people, systems, and strategy, Anna has strengthened the organization’s operations. Her leadership supports program growth and funding while advancing racial equity work, improving information security, and creating a more coordinated approach to communications and digital product development.
She joined Alongside in 2014. Before becoming executive director in 2020, she served as digital media director. In that role, she championed user experience and innovation in digital communications. She launched major digital projects for AdoptUSKids, including a redesigned website, an updated photolisting, and blogs for families and child welfare professionals. These efforts increased website traffic and engagement and earned recognition from the Webby Awards and the Center for Plain Language’s ClearMark Awards.
Anna works to ensure staff have the resources and support they need to succeed. She values Alongside having integrity and being the kind of partner others want at the table. Together, these priorities help position Alongside to do the most good for the people and communities it serves.
